1. Public Transport as a Social Mobility Superpower 

One of the biggest themes this year? Public transport is about unlocking access to jobs, education, healthcare, and everything in between.

In the Innovation Panel, industry leaders explored how transit can be a great equalizer, giving people opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have. The shift towards multimodal travel and seamless ticketing is accelerating fast - something we predicted for 2025 in one of our earlier blogs.

• Flexible payments – Bank cards, mobile wallets, ABT - it’s all about choice.
•  Personalized travel experiences – Using data to predict, adapt, and improve journeys.

3. Security: No Longer an Afterthought

Fare evasion, fraud, cyber threats. Security isn’t just a “nice to have” anymore, it’s mission critical.

That’s why we brought the heat at our Fireside Chat: Building Resilient Transit and Ticketing Systems in a Risk-Filled World. Kuba and Vix CEO Aaron Ross and CISO Tom Buerbaum shared real-world insights on tackling security risks head-on, from journey-related fraud to cyber resilience.
