Meet the team - Estelle Jacoulet

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Estelle Jacoulet, our Executive Assistant in France who keeps things moving in the Besançon office.

How long have you worked at Kuba?

I’ve been at Kuba for almost eighteen months, and even though it’s been a short time, it already feels like home. It’s a place where I feel comfortable and motivated every day.

Why did you choose Kuba?

Coming from a completely different background to mobility, I was looking for a versatile position in an exciting, constantly evolving sector. This role is definitely that!

What does your day-to-day work look like?

No two days are the same, so I need to adapt quickly to whatever comes up, and be able to handle any unexpected issues. I assist our COO with his schedule, coordinate events and projects, organise travel, and oversee our meeting rooms and building maintenance.

What’s one part of your role that has a big impact on the business?

A lot of people don’t realise my role supports employee wellbeing. I make sure workspaces are clean and welcoming. I help make the office a comfortable, healthy and fun place by organising things like sports classes, and weekly deliveries of pastries and fruit.

Tell us about a fun project you've really enjoyed?

We recently expanded our office space in Besançon, opening up a new floor. It’s been really interesting to see the project come to life from start to finish. I was involved in everything, from the initial design, to choosing furniture, and coordinating with contractors.

We also had to carefully plan the relocation of teams, which involved restructuring many of the open spaces areas across the building.

Can you give three words that describe “Life at Kuba”?

Social, fast-paced, dynamic

When you’re not at work, what is the thing you enjoy doing most?

When I’m not at work, I enjoy the simple things in life, like going for walks with my children, having a coffee in good company, and spending time outdoors. I also really enjoy the comfort of being under a cozy blanket on my sofa.

What is your motto in life?

My favourite quote that represents my attitude to life is: “Always look on the bright side of life.” I try to stay positive, keep things in perspective, and not let small setbacks get me down.
